We welcomed our standard schnauzer puppy, Boolean into our home about 3 years ago. He brings so much fun into our every day life! Just 6 months after getting Boolean, we adopted our little girl. It was a little crazy having a puppy and a baby all at once, but it has ended up being a great thing. Veda and Boolean are the best of buds, and we love the fact that our children will grow up with a pet in the home.
Boolean is now 3 years old, and is a family dog in every sense of the word. He loves to be where we are and feel included. If we are outside playing or working in the yard, he loves to be outside with us. When we are inside, that's where he wants to be also (usually taking nice long naps). He always lets us know when someone comes to the door with his loud bark- which means he is a great guard dog while we are away. :)
One of Boolean's favorite things are nice long walks in the neighborhood. He shares those walks with Veda in the jogging stroller, usually, but he doesn't seem to mind. He loves being outdoors, playing fetch, etc- as long as we are outside with him. He also likes to take nice long snoozes during the day.
Boolean has a few doggy friends in the neighborhood that he likes to play outside with as well- he's a very social guy!
Boolean is quite the character and is full of energy, but he is a sweet, loving, and protective dog, too. He loves his family. We couldn't be more pleased to how he acts around our daughter. When we go to get Veda in the morning, he likes to come in her room and greet her first thing. Veda loves her dog so much and will say, "Hi Booey!" He tolerates her chasing him throughout the house, pulling on his tail, and giving him lots of hugs. He is a great family pet!
About his name:
Boolean is a computer programming term- a data type meaning either true or false/on or off. With Bryce being a computer geek, he naturally loved the name! After years of Jamie persuading Bryce to get a dog, he finally said that they could get a dog- if they could name him Boolean. A great compromise! :)
